Because it continues to flame the violence and the anger and it gets ratings. On an almost daily basis you can find cases of black on black racism.....lighter skinned black women in particular are celebrated while black women with very dark skin are rejected. Pretty much nobody likes or respects Hispanics/Latinos unless it's a hot chick with big tits. They are all illegal immigrants who can't drive. Asians are also notoriously crappy drivers.

I don't have to think much considering he's an issue for Arizona. However.....he was raised only by his father, was born a yankee, and joined the military basically out of high school. What he turned in to isn't much of a surprise. I am not someone who believes that prison works when it's a gulag. I don't think hardened criminals should have TV's, porn mags, or conjugal visits but treating them like animals does nothing but put animals on the street when they get out.

He did some bad things and some good things, much more of the former. He always courted the media and I don't like that.

Without a doubt. But probably 95% of pardons are political. The majority of Obama's pardons, particularly on that last day, were drug offenders. That was a political statement.

For the last month or so I have been getting emails supposedly from Arpaio's wife begging for money for his defense fund. Next time i get one I'll post it.

I agree, the Obama pardons were political but let's be honest, that move by Obama wasn't exactly going to translate to votes. Democrats really suck at politics.

    He's had it since 2010. Can't say I'm surprised.

Trump learned from the very best, ultra democrat leftist Rahm Emanuel. Stop whinning you clown and take it like we had to for years and years.

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste"

 and you never complained a bit

    America’s Whiniest ‘Victim’
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/07/opinion/donald-trump-unfair.html

Donald Trump is the reigning king of American victimhood. He is unceasingly pained, injured, aggrieved. The primaries were unfair. The debates were unfair. The general election was unfair.

“No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly,” he laments.

People refuse to reach past his flaws, which are legion, and pat him on the back. People refuse to praise his minimal effort and minimal efficacy. They refuse to ignore that the legend he created about himself is a lie. People’s insistence on truth and honest appraisal is so annoying. It’s all so terribly unfair.

He makes feeling sorry for himself feel like fighting back.

But, Trump’s whining is not some clever Machiavellian tactic, precisely tuned for these times. Trump’s whining is genuine. He pretends to be ferocious, but is actually embarrassingly fragile. His bravado is all illusion. The lion is a coward. And, he licks his wounds until they are raw.

On the scale of life this pardon is like a small pimple on my ass. I always thought that sheriff was some kind of hero, then he became a villain. This whole deal seems like a creation of the cable news mafia. There are only, oh, a million, issues, that affect me directly. A single sheriff in AZ ain't one...hey, isn't there a song about something like that?

This move was a signal to his associates who colluded with him and Russia: there's no reason for you to turn and testify against me because I will pardon you. It's also a statement that he knows he can't survive politically so he's throwing as many fuck you's at the country as he can while he still has the power.
