Add my name to the aplogy list. I was all over him after the first TWO games and admittedly, was speaking emotionally rather than logically. It's obvious now that he knows what he's doing and always did. I DO believe made some changes though. It's not the same 'D' we saw in the ASU game and the 2nd half of the Tennessee game.

Tenn. Rob manned up and admitted he was wrong...one of the very few who will do it. Most will just claim they knew he'd be good all along, he just needed to 'change'.

No more harping on Pelini from me...other than one last comment about how could he have missed the boat so, so badly earlier in the season in matching scheme with personnel.

Defense looked scary good yesterday. Props to the coach.

I'll jump on the bandwagon and admit I was also wrong.

Time to check the Bandwaggoning Newspaper...

Oh, I see we're SUPPORTING Pelini this week.

    Hm.

I also see we're still supposed to hate Miles for running the ball so much.

If you are referring to me you need to look back to the posts when Pellini was hired, I liked him better than Miles but stevie wonder could see that the soft zone we played the first two games wasn't working. Stevie could also see that the scheme has been adjusted. If you want to sit here with your purple and gold glasses and kiss butt until the cows come home more power to you but some of us would rather call a spade a spade. Pellini has had great success at other places and looks like he will here but the D sucked in games one and two and most fans saw it. It's not jumping on the bandwagon now by saying that he is doing a better job. "he just needed to change", not only did he need to change but he did change!

We're now seeing what made Bo so successful at Nebraska. This defense will smack you in the mouth over and over and you will like it. I don't remember Saban's D ever stifling Leak like that. The D literally won the game for us.

I wasn't talking about you, but I should have been. The players are playing better, the only adjustments he's made is a larger % of press...not man, not blitzing, not zone changes, not personnel. We've gone from about 40% press to about 55% press. He didn't change his scheme at all.

You absolutely can't be serious, no way in hell. If you don't think changing from a 15 yard cushion to a 5 yard cushion isn't a major change you haven't a clue. Clausen picked us apart dinking and dunking little five to ten yard passes in front of our huge cushion, bringing the DB's up to the line is a major change and a major difference in the way the D is playing. He has also done a much much better job of disguising the blitz, walking both DB's and LB's up to the line and then often dropping them back in coverage. In the early games my grandma could tell you who was coming before the snap just by where the DB's and LB's lined up.
