That's the absolute sweetest irony of this whole thing. If the Democratic committee hadn't worked behind the scenes to fuck over Bernie and give the nomination to Hillary they would have the white house today. Because at its core this was an election about change not ideology. Bernie would have been the more palatable change than Trump, and I think would have won.
White middle class and working class people put him in office. The backbone of America wants America to be Great again for real. From doctors and lawyers and professionals to plumbers, truck drivers, ironworkers. The Americans who build our country, produce our energy and teach our children. It's a Great Day to be an American. When a non-politician, non politically correct maverick can take on the entrenched Washington establishment insiders and win with the support of the real people it's proof that the system works after all.
