WASHINGTON — President Biden took a snow day Thursday as DC received a half-inch dusting — but Vice President Kamala Harris carried on with scheduled in-person events.

Biden postponed a trip to Michigan, where he planned to tour a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing facility, and the White House declared an 8 a.m. “lid” for reporters — meaning there would be no in-person events.

Cruz isn't that likeable. That is how RED Texas is.

He has such a punch-able face.

yunno what the real solution is? lets think about it.

people should have backup heat plans, like gas fireplaces. but the left hates fossil fuels. we should be using nuclear power, but the left opposes it.

even if you disagree with this, its long term policy that is the issue. not whether a person is at the beach chugging mexican beers like a boss.

and some of it is about personal responsibility. my power was out, as was many of my friends and family. some of us had fireplaces or gas heaters and were fine, others were cold because they rely purely on electricity. whose fault was that? should i force my senators to install a natural gas furnace in my house?

    This is good.

My mother is building a new home. Lives in the Prairieville/Gonzales area. He is installing one of those 10K home generators for all the storms etc.

This was something we talked about. We hope it isn't needed, but the reality is in Southern Louisiana, it will get used plenty.

And I get it not everyone can afford these things, but there is plenty people can do throughout the year. Like stocking firewood, water, canned food. Having a plan. Paying attention.

Maybe they can put that money into a fund to defer the cost of all the new democratic voters/illegals Biden is letting in.

Biden says he plans to visit Texas and declare major disaster

    Kathryn Watson 1 hr ago
President Joe Biden says he is making a major disaster declaration for Texas that will clear the way for more federal resources, and plans to visit the state at a time when he won't be interfering with the disaster response.

Wind turbines froze and AOC says the problem was they didn't have enough of them?
How is Joe helping? Sending fossil fueled generators

I don't believe the narrative that these events are somehow fossil fuel/renewable energy related. The problem has been and still is a system wide failure, and democrats and republicans are to blame. This is political spin. And all types of electricity failed, fossil fuel being the greatest percentage of overall power lost. Here in Houston area it was mostly the Nuclear plant going down.

Ted Cruz "tried" to take a vacation during a natural disaster across all of Texas. He would of finished that vacation had he not been caught red handed. If you are a Texan and you are ok with that, fine. But I am not. I would be just as mad if it was a Democrat, Independent I don't care what party you are.

we never ask anyone to be responsible for themselves. its not that expensive to be prepared. my parents burned wood in their fireplace. that is cheap.

i live in an apartment in downtown baton rouge. there is a natural gas heater on my living room wall that costs like 77 dollars at wal-mart. that thing is like a nuclear sun and natural gas is super cheap. its easy and cheap to be prepared.
