1. While the two teams did play every year, OU was a member of the Big 8.

The SWC, for most of its existence, was Texas schools plus Arkansas.

  2. Its definitely smokey!

Still remains to be seen how Sankey is going to get all of the teams in the east to say "yes we would LOVE to be in the same division as bama "

I guess that goes back to the scheduling question but still seems like a tough sell.

  3. I’ve read that the faggies and mizzou would vote against. That only leaves 1 that could vote no and still pass…

best proposal I’ve seen is the 4 team pods
  4. Once again, Bama has the easiest schedule. Gotta protect the conference cash cow, lol

  5. I like the idea of 2 eight team divisions. Play your 7 and 3 rotating from other division. 2 OC games. I like divisions as they are. Drop UTerous in the west, Dirt Burglars in the east. Geography is nearly irrelevant.

This is the SEC, stfu up about horns down……you’re gonna be choking on it.

  6. And here come the gumps crying about moving to the east! Geography is irrelevant? Next you will tell me I'm a white supremacists
  7. Here's how I'd divide the teams up. Go to 9 SEC games, 3 OCC games. Each team is in a pod with 3 permanent opponents. The other 12 teams are divided into two groups of 6 that alternate each year. Top 2 teams go the SEC championship. Yes, rematches will sometimes occur.

Each team plays the whole conference every 2 years. Each team plays at each stadium every 4 years.

    Alabama: Auburn, LSU, Tennessee
    Arkansas: Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma
    Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina
    Florida: Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky
    Georgia: Florida, South Carolina, Auburn
    Kentucky: South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Florida
LSU: Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Miss State: Missouri, Texas A&M, Ole Miss
    Missouri: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Miss State
    Oklahoma: Texas, Missouri, Arkansas
Ole Miss: LSU, Miss State, Vanderbilt
    South Carolina: Georgia, Kentucky, Auburn
    Tennessee: Vanderbilt, Florida, Alabama
    Texas: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arkansas
Texas A&M: Texas, LSU, Miss State
    Vanderbilt: Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kentucky
  8. Cause that isn't confusing at all
  9. Scheduling in a 16 team conference isn't going to be simple. It could be, but would be very boring with only 1 interconference game. If there were 9 SEC games, then there could be 2 interconference games, but the cycle through the other division would still be several years long.

The current 6 year cycle is terrible and needs to be changed.
