super conferences are gonna happen,.. the Pac's gonna be forced to expand to keep up, joining with michigan, ohio state, and their buddies would lift our prestige, bring in more revenue, joining with them makes the most sense to me,.. the SEC and ACC can absorb what's left after texas and oklahoma leave,.. that conference is already splitting up, why would we want to join with them?.. would be two weak-kneed conferences joining together and creating a super dysfuntional one
So we're saying the same thing...Nebraska is already a member of the B1G Ten. We are one of the "buddies" as you put it.
I'm of the opinion it's a little early to say that. I think we're looking as just as big of a chance of having two super divisions as much as we're looking at four super conferences.
yeah, i'm probably jumping the gun,.. i was thinking of three super conferences,.. and i'm dreaming about then having an 8 team playoff
The only reason someone might want to add one of the remaining Texas castaways to their conference is to get some kind of footprint in Texas. It might not mean much now but could evolve into something later. But even UofHouston is a gamble. It has a huge alumni (rich alumni) in a top 10 TV market with likely the most football talent per square mile anywhere. But it doesn't matter because they are behind UT, TAMU, Baylor, and LSU in football passion in the city.
