    Not yet

They're not too old to party. I'm pretty sure Randy moved to New York years ago to pursue a solo career and did better writing songs than singing. The band still gets together to do a show every once in a while. I've caught them twice in the last 2 years. You're right, Randy And Felix are cool. Drank beers with them when I was 15 at Dino's Rock Box. Ahh, those were the days.....

    Re: Rock on!!

You can get Zebra CDs from CD Universe. Go to http://www.cduniverse.com/sresult.a...INFO=Zebra&HT_Search_Name=Zebra&altsearch=yes

I'm sorry - what is a MILF? Seems like I should know and I've heard it before, but I can't decipher right now! Thanks!

Mother I'd Like to F*%k. I remember it as being made widely popular from American Pie. Not sure if it originated with the movie, but the movie was surely responsible for widespread usage of the term.

    Potliquor?

If Potliquor is our best band from LA, then we definitely have a problem. Just kidding, honestly I can't judge this band since I've never heard their music, but I'll say it's pathetic if the Zebra's, a cover band, is the second best from LA. How about Better than Ezra and Cowboy Mouth, two bands still playing? I think their both solid.

    Re: SpringTiger

Okay, I remember now. Thanks. I suppose since I've grown older and more mature (?) and become a father, the term has been replaced in my circle by "Mom Babe!"

    You're welcome, PnG!

    Re: Potliquor?

You're crossing up eras in music. Having seen Zebra back in the late 80s, they absolutely rocked. Didn't see The Cold, though. Zebra could rock a house like no other. And as far as a little Led Zep cover, Randy had a set of lungs. He could flat out wail.

IMHO, Ezra is quite overrated. They used to be much better back in the early 90s when they played all the frat parties at LSU. The fame and chasing $$ got them into playing much more "radio" tracks cause that's what sells.

Personnally, I don't care for Cowboy Mouth. Just not into his sound. I have lots of friends who love it. Just never could get into it.

Of all the bands mentioned, I would still take Zebra.

    Hold on a sec!

Sounds like you've never heard Zebra. Comparing Zebra to Better than Ezra is apples and oranges. Your talking about two diferent genres of music from two different eras. And Zebra was not a "cover band". They made at least three albums of their own music that sold like crazy in the 80's. Their covers of Led Zepplin were secondary to their original stuff. It just so happened that people used to say that Randy Jackson was the only person who could sing Zepplin better than Robert Plant. ( Just an opinion, nobody get bent out of shape) I'm not knocking the two bands you mentioned but Zebra would have been bigger if they were from the MTV generation. If they had formed 5 years later you would have seen Zebra nationwide. Too bad. But they still have a strong following in the SE Louisiana area. Anyway, I'd rather catch a Zebra concert than alot of more popular bands today.

Zebra blows away Better than Ezra. In fact, we used to refer to Ezra as "Weaker than Zebra" when they claimed they were from New Orleans rather than BR because it was "cooler" to be from NO than BR.

Randy Jackson still does solo acoustic gigs and he is amazing. He is the best one-man-band I have ever seen. He plays and sings Zeppelin better than Plant and Page could ever dream about (at least now). Nobody in Ezra comes close to Randy's talents. Griffin is an average guitar player at best and writes girly, bubble gum tunes.
