    The Cold

LOVE the Cold. 1st song on their singles CD, "You", would have been a huge hit if it had been released 2 years later, when MTV came on the scene...

I saw the Cold a couple of years ago at the Rivershack. They had some original members including Barbara, the lead singer. The original bass player was Vance DeGeneres, Ellen's brother and one of the creators of SNL's "Mr. Bill Show."

Zebra and Randy still do some shows and Randy does many solo acoustic gigs. I remember seeing them way back in the day at Ole Man River's.

    Zebra still rocks!!

I was in grad school at LSU in '83 when their debut came out. Last saw them in 2001 on a business trip in Chicago -- they played at House of Blues. I always felt they were underrated...

Not to take any luster off your great plate, but who cares what Tejas thinks?

They are for the most part but not all an arrogant bunch of wannabes I have ever come across. Don't know if you are in Mehico #1 (Dullass) or Mehico #2 (Whostunned), but the Whostunned paper definitely did not get it right, and that's a fact. I am stuck over here, and they absolutely are green with envy over LSU. Many pulled for us because they hate Oklahoma and think they are better then them too, but now that LSU has won it all, they absolutely can't stand it. I proudly sport my LSU National Championship stuff every day and am ordering more, and every time I go home

Everyone here talks about how big and great they are, but they fail to recall that Louisiana was the biggest territory/state in the Union with the Louisiana purchase, and more Louisiana residents (and even more Irish immigrants) dies at the Alamo than Tejas territory inhibitants (Mexicans excluded).

Mack Brown is a good recruiter but can't win the big ones and cries to much.

e aTm e is a joke with a coward for a coach who abandoned his players, and the rest of the teams are buch league.

An 8-8 Saints team is better than any professional Football team they have here (beat them both).

I say we cut our losses and give Tejas back to Mexico!

    Geaux Tigers! Buy Louisiana!

    ZEBRA

I actually saw Zebra the first time they played together at the Library. I wne tot school with Randy at JFK and we use to play Foose ball against each other for years. He was the fastest player I ever saw. Had a pull shot that you couldn't see. You just heard it hit the back of the goal. He also had a great arm even htough he was so skinny and he and I would throw football in P.E. constantly to see who could back the other up. His fooseball/hanspeed speed became evident when he started playing a lot of guitar. Gene(?), the lead singer, was a bartender at the Library for a few years before they started the band.
Any of you guys hung out at the Library?

    yeah,

the cold has a cd release of "16 songs off a dead band's chest"

I played in a band that was running on the same circuit as the cold back then and we did a number of gigs opening up for them . I saw them at Howlin' Wolf a few years ago, and Babs is a mom now, and although she's still sexy as hell in my book - her age is beginning to show....

there was something electric about their shows......

Wow, I suddenly feel sooooo old.....

    Rock on!!

We used to go see Zebra AND The Cold at St. Christopher CYO's weekend concerts in the Gym a block off Airline Hwy in Metairie. They both rocked!! I think those were my first concerts I was allowed to go to without the parents. Because it was CYO sponsored. Hard to find CDs though. Every time I do a search on the web all I get is Zebrahead not Zebra. Little help? Anyone?

    Barbara Menendez is a MILF.

Zebra has played my club dozens of times. Felix and Randy are great guys. The fans just seemed to disappear. Maybe they got to old to party any more. HaHa.
