1. Seriously though, buyouts aside, do you think Tubby would even entertain this? I know they've done him dirty over the years with the whole Petrino thing, but I don't understand the allure of aTm over a top notch SEC program. What am I missing?
  2. CTT has been moving family to Auburn, has a nice new house that he is just finishing. Sounds like he made a decision to stay. He was at tamu one year, I don't think that would be a factor.

Of course Shula had just built a home.....
  3. AU to TAM is a lateral move at best. Don't see it happening unless money comes pouring in. Maybe he'll use it as leverage like Nutt did with the Nebraska job a few year back.
  4. I, for one, am (so far) a pretty big fan of Crowton's; however, I wouldn't think that a person would truly choose A & M for offensive reasons. For years, on offense, they've sucked.

And for what it's worth, I think A & M has been looking for a "reason" to fire Fran; this is probably reason enough. He saved his job last year by beating a mediocre UT team with a banged up Colt McCoy.
  5. I don't think Tubs goes to A&M. Unless he is worried about Saban getting all the recruits in Alabama, making Tubs go to other states. Saban is a great recruiter and has being doing a good job already at sealing up Alabama.

The more I think about it, Tubs may entertain the thought if offered.

I think A&M goes after a respected coach and not take the chance on an up and comer.
  6. I'm going to be selling inside information on the A&M investigation on Franchione. If anyone is interested, mail me 1,200 buckeroos.
  7. On TexasAgs.com, they were also adding Pelini to their "wish list" after the Miami game.
  8. bummer IS NOT a stepping stone.

    It's a grave.

  9. I hope he stays there forever. He is a FRANTASTIC COACH. They got hammered by a Miami team the struggled to beat Duke.

Plus Tubs will not leave Auburn for pete sake to go to A&M and hold the jock of OU and UT every year....

    What a wretched group...
  10. Tubby has ties to A&M. He was their DC before going to Ole Miss.
