No way!!! The new American way is to coddle the enemy, to only go half the distance needed to defeat the enemy and to treat him with respect and dignity. MOAB MOAB MOAB MOAB!!!!!!!!!!! Bomb the bastards into extinction!!!!!! You must not have watched the elections in Spain. It's hard to predict what outcome it would have on the electios here but IMO it could push the elections in either direction. It is hard to tell how the American voters would react until something actually happens.

The character of this country in the past has always been tough.
In other words you attack us and we are going to war, we're not going to wimp out like the French and the Spanish. (Madrid bombings)
We're not going to change the outcome of an election to please the terrorists
regardless of who the president at the time is.

If I'm wrong this time around it is the beginning of the end for this country.
    God help us! :usaflagwa

Nothing to do with whimping out. Let's say an attack does happen, then of course the American people will rally behind the President just like after 9/11, I think that is a given fact that we can all agree on. However Questions would start to be asked about what was done to stop it since after 9/11 we know we have to do better than we did before at stopping these insane killers. The longer term reaction would depend on the answers to some of these many questions more now than it did before 9/11. Of course this is all speculation that we hope we never need to know the answers to. Let's hope we are indeed more prepared today than we were pre 9/11 and that we kill all of these murderers before they can kill us. :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :911: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

That's a good point. It's funny (and outrageous) that while the Dems are trying to blame Bush for not seeing the 9/11 attacks coming, Kerry is suggesting that the latest terrorist warnings are politically motivated.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

The last dumb thing he said along those lines was that Bush was going to have gas lowered just before the elections.

Kerry is doing what he can to play upon the fears and insecurities of the American people in an uncertain time. Since he really has nothing of substance to run on, it's all he's got.
