Maybe I'm not over-reacting. Here's an active case in Philly about a wife refusing to honor her husband's living will. She wants a feeding tube for him. The daughter filed suit. The judge ordered no feeding tube until a hearing on Monday. Hope the judge isn't a right-to-lifer... Fox News
Everyone, I am going to lighten-up a bit. I have excepted the fact that Terri will die, there appears no turning back. I was disturbed by this because of some facts that have come out on Fox news and MSNBC. Terri, at one time wasn't in a permanent vegetative state. Obviously from the videos, etc. The Philly case, I'm not worried about it, a living will is involved and that should be the final word. Some of the judges in the Terri Shaivo case are Republicans, these are some that have denied putting the feeding tube back into Terri. I'm assuming some of them are right to lifers! So I think that takes care of your last point. I should have clarified my statement, no offense meant. When you talk about the right to lifers it struck a cord because I can see them coming out in full force in the next couple elections to voice and vote their opinions and beliefs. That is all. God help us all and Terri and her family!
Since Sourdough didn't respond to my heartfelt reply, all I can offer now is to say this entire thread strongly favors implentation of spell-check.
Didn't see it and I could care less what people think of me or my spelling. If you want some ammunition to beat me up I'll give you some. My little girl is in the hospital at Childrens Hospital in Denver with pulmanary hypertension, its gotten better, now its worse. Waiting by computer and phone from the Cardiologist. People seem to like to attack me so go ahead! I have much more things to worry about other than a few people on this board who seem to love to attack me or my spelling. Is that the only reason people have to attack, spelling? :thumb: Kick me while i'm down but I'll be back!
what? I think you missed my point. I replied to your post long ago and this was my way of pointing that out. attacking your spelling? no I think Cparso has you beat as i said the entire thread but it was a joke. you're about the only person Im nice to. :hihi: :hihi: hope your daughter gets well. relax man, we're on the same side. cheers.
Sorry then? I was confused, honestly I never noticed your post so I'm sorry. I'm on a rollercoaster like most people wouldn't believe! Thank You! Look Everyone This whole thing could've been handled and resolved differently. Look at what this has done to our country and the parents. Michael is suspicious and supposedly said his wife said she wanted to die. Does anyone think that Michael is somewhat suspicious? Can anyone answer why he wants her to die so badly? I am hoping that the FBI, or whomever watches this man very closely in the future to make sure he doesn't have a hidden agenda. I hope that there is a full investigation and that everyone learns the truth, whatever that may be. I told my wife that Michael Shiavo could be a hero, if he walked away from Terri and forgot about her, respect the parents wishes. Let the parents and their daughter have their time together. He loses nothing? I think? I also told my wife that if I were in that situation I would respect her parents wishes and move on.
Yet another nurse on Hanity and Combs that said this should not be happening to Terri, she is not a vegetable. How some of you can ignore the facts that are surfacing and act like this is a typical case is beyond my comprehension.
Been reading this thread as it has progressed. I've honestly have trouble developing an opinion on this particular case/issue one way or another because I feel as if I would need a LOT more information than what we have. In reference to the specific part of your post I quoted.... Perhaps the man truly loved his wife and feels a duty to respect her wishes. Supposedly she expressed to him that she'd never want to be in such a state. On the other hand, I see media reports that seem to try to smear the guy's image. Which only leads me back to my original comment of not having enough information. I am simply saying that maybe in his heart of hearts he wants to honor Terri's wishes, things she may have actually told him while they were married. If that is the case, then he can't simply walk away so easily. In the end, it is not about his wishes. It is not about her parents' wishes. It is about Terri's wishes. Yet, we all realize that none of us can know for sure what her wishes truly are/were.
Again on CNN, another doctor saying she has been mis-diagnosed. So you guys saying this, we should allow hearsay in court, you can't have it both ways. BTW on CNN, Pat Boone's grandson was mis-diagnosed saying he was in a permanent vegetative state when he was in a coma. Guess what? He's alive and well! Its funny how some of you think this guy has Terri's best interest at heart, you accept hearsay, a lot of evidence from medical professionals say to the contrary including Affidavits. Not to mention Michael has moved on years ago with a girlfriend and kids by her. It would be laughable if an innocent person wasn't dying. Why not insert the feeding tube, have an investigation into everything from day 1 and then if it favors Michael fine, but if it doesn't an innocent person doesn't die. Makes too much sense! :dis: May God have mercy on this country! :dis:  http://www.ryansreach.com/home1.htm
