I think we agree more than we disagree, I think there are certain circumstances the government has to intervene in a situation such as this one, life and death situation, just to make sure we get it right!
Jeb Bush blinked, thats why, he was advised that it could be a political
    disaster IMHO.

For every rule their seems to be an exception sooner or later.
To think I was thinking about retiring in Florida one day.
Your vote may not count, no matter what party affiliation not to mention the
pedophiles there, justice system is somewhat screwed up.
I'm amazed that a circuit court judge is in contempt of congress, he now seems to have more power than the president and congress?

Makes me wonder who is really running this country?

Living Will Draft (so that something like this does not ever happen to you against your wishes - drafted by unknown individual)

    LIVING WILL

I, _________________________ (fill in the blank), being of sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alive indefinitely by artificial means and under NO circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of peckerwood politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their lives depended on it.

If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to sit up and ask for a cold beer, it should be presumed that I won't ever get better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my spouse, children, friends and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes, call it a day and down that cold one for me.

Under no circumstances shall the members of the Legislature enact a special law to keep me on life-support machinery. It is my wish that these boneheads mind their own damn business, and pay attention instead to the health, education and future of the millions of Americans who aren't in a permanent coma. I don't care how many fundamentalist votes they're trying to scrounge for their presidency run in 2008, it is my wish that they do the damn jobs they were elected for and leave me alone to die in peace.

Finally, I couldn't care less if a hundred religious zealots send e-mails to their legislators. If I were awake and we exchanged religious views, they would probably condemn me to hell because I wouldn't see things their backward--Huckleberry way anyway. I don't know any of them, and I certainly don't authorize them to preach and crusade on my behalf. They should mind their own business, too, maybe even go find a job......who the hell has that kind of extra time during the middle of the day anyway? And for christ-sakes, don't go bawlin' your eyes out when my soul shuffles off this mortal coil......you didn't know me.

If any of my family/friends go against my wishes and turns my case into a political cause, I hereby promise to come back from the grave and make his or her existence a living hell.

You have no idea what you are talking about do you? Since you might have heard something on BET nightly news, it is for you and people like you, the gospel. When someone with no credentials and a personal grudge against someone starts spitting out accusations, you are supposed to take it with a grain of salt. Not liberals. If it in anyway degrades Bush and his family then it is nothing but the truth. Interesting ploy, however, mix lies about Pres. Bush with truths about your boy clinton.

To be honest with you, when I first heard about Monica, I prayed that it wasn't true. As much as I disliked president clinton and her husband, I just wanted to believe that our president and commander-in-chief would have had more class than that. I knew what an embarrassment it would be to the entire country. I was right. That whole episode caused a many a bar fight overseas. There are alot of french bastards and italian scum missing teeth because of clinton and his exploits while in office.

What I am saying is, just because someone says something, it doesn't make it true. No matter how much you want it to be. Don't be a fool. Research things for yourself and make an informed opinion. Always consider the source. I bet Dan Rather wishes he had. I guess, however, this would be asking alot out of liberals.

    Wait, wait, wait.

Are you saying that Bush did not have an alcohol problem nor did he use cocaine?

As to the service duty, obviously the CBS thing was a sham, but I wouldn't call being waylayed in Alabama because of who his father was and knew during Vietnam serving our country.

These aren't allegations I'm pulling out of left air, these are hard, cold facts.

What do you mean by "waylayed in Alabama"? If you are referring to Bush being stationed there, what about the ten's of thousands of other reservist there also. I respect Bush's service. Not just anyone can be a jet pilot. Everytime he climbed in the cockpit he was putting his life on the line.

The cocaine myth is just that. It's a myth contracted by someone who was wanting publicity for their book. Which flopped I might add.

You are correct on the drinking issue. Only thing you are leaving out is the fact that it was in Bush's past. He has been nothing if not open about it. He has in no way been a disgrace while in office unlike his predecessor. Do you not think that if the left could dig up any substantial dirt about Bush, that they would not post it on every billboard across America? Since you cannot find anything, you (and people like you) just fabricate it. You hope that if it is repeated enough times in second rate newspapers and on the internet, that some people will be fooled into believing it.

    I don't believe it...
Do you honestly think they would release the truth to the public if the truth turned out
to be something other than the Schiavo version?
    Call me skeptical...

I seriously, as a fellow conservative Christian, cannot believe you right now.

    No, really.

You have ignored all of the medical evidence presented to you in this case and followed your heart....to where I'm not sure.

Michael tried for 14+ years to rehabilitate her. It wasn't happening. It is his decision to stop prolonging the life of a vegetable. Or have you forgotten "For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?"

Dumbest post I've ever read. Do you think the medical examiner really has a "dog in this hunt"? The facts are being reported.
