And then go to the bottom of the depth chart and catch passes from the walk-on quarterback for a while. Good excuse to let the youngsters get more scrimmage reps while Tolliver has to dress out and just stand around contemplating better places to be at 2 AM than face-down tazed in the Fred's parking lot and on the front page of the Sunday paper.
he could have been trying to break it up and got hit himself. and cops can be douchebags (not saying all are), if TT says he was trying to break up a fight, he has never been in trouble before, he should be taken for his word, and this issue should be dead.
Harris will play vs Tennessee... There is more about his approach at the end of the interview: Johnson Addresses Media Prior to SEC's - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics
You know, things like this remind me of an interview with Bill Parcells and Keyshawn Johnson on ESPN that took place after one of these nightclub shootings involving an NFL player, and Parcells was asked what can be done to avoid those kinds of situations. Parcells didn't mince words about it. He said that Keyshawn knew the lecture, and that 99% of those types of incidents can be avoided by staying away from the club at 2 am, where trouble will find you more often than not. Obviously, this situation doesn't come anywhere near the seriousness of a shooting, accidental or otherwise, but Parcells' point remains and it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out. And pro athletes can't even get this through their heads, much less college kids.
Bingo. There is no one who stands out in a club more than the athletes, because they all have 1,000,000 beautiful women on them. Add some drunk, jealous wannabe with his high school letterman's jacket on and problems sometimes happen. Both those guys are sort of busy right about now. Get some sleep. Terrance Toliver has never had brushes with the law, but he was in bubbly-hot water his entire freshman year, because he didn't know any of the plays, but he knew the drink specials at Reggie's fine and dandy.
I don't blame the kid for going out... but how hard it is it to know the plays? Wonder what his LSU profs think about how well he learns the material they give him to learn?
