Well, yeah that's all true give or take a billion years. Meanwhile we have to live and die in the ecosystem that is here and will be around for our time on earth. We can control quite a lot of our own negative impact on it and it is important to do so. Even animals don't live in their own filth unless they are forced.

We are the first species in the history of the planet and perhaps even the universe that has actually evolved the capacity to impact planetary ecosystems and even influence natural selection. We can change things and we are not slave to nature.

Human activity is a significant part of the earth's natural system.

I will be enjoying my Corvette, Tahoe, Boat, and 4 wheelers.

I plan on driving to Florida this Spring and I plan on flying to Rome this Summer. Mmmm I can smell the carbon emissions now!

Since you guys are not using oil, there is more for me.....

Hitler with the red mustache wants to control everyone's life. Good luck!

I will just have to make more money this year to compensate for Red's tax increases next year.

If one believes that global warming is caused by humans the accusatory finger should be pointed directly at the chinks. The term "clear day" in China is one only the last generation of chinks know. The rest think smog and pollution is what they are supposed to live in.

Not sure about that statement. We are not exactly harmonious with the "Earth's natural system", based upon our ability to manipulate it. Any component that stands outside of a system, regardless of degree, really is not part of that system.

I will admit I am unconvinced that man's impact is greater than the internal/external natural forces at work on the planet. I think there is plenty of science to support both sides and am unimpressed by "scientific consensus". Not an impressive track record through the ages. In most cases it can be proven right....or wrong.

However, I do think that my footprint on the earth can be diminished, and that is probably a good thing.

Even so, in this age of political correctness, disagreeing with the notion that man is to blame for global warming is quickly achieving the same taboo status as sexuality, religion, race, men/women relationships, etc. They are now strangling our society. Most of them started out well intentioned and were designed to improve a flawed social mindset. Unfortunately, many of them have warped their original purpose and are now used as weapons against certain segments of society and really complicate how we deal with each other.

"Green science" is rapidly taking on the same mantle.
