At USC.... You had to ask that, didn't you. Mother phucker. At Bama....12-1 and then this... Still, not bad as far as first years go.
No but it was his fault when Texas stopped tailback LenDale White on a fourth-and-2 from the Longhorns’ 45-yard line. Reggie wasn't even on the field. Michael Huff moved up to the line of scrimmage and helped tackle White. “We gave LenDale the ball,” Lua said. “(But) we didn’t have Reggie on the field. Why on God's green Earth when you have Thunder and Lightning in your pocket, do you leave lightning on the sideline? It wasn't a surprise to ANYONE that LenDale was going to get the ball. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Right, I would hope LSU is not a place where one learns to be an offensive coordinator, but its sure looking like that's the case.
That's the same coach who thought it was a good idea to pass on the 1 yard line in the Super Bowl instead of giving the ball to Lynch. I don't see how Seahawk fans can ever forgive him for that.
Pete Carroll made the dumbest call in Super Bowl history. It was Lane however, who made the decision to keep Reggie off the field.
I'm with you. I'd just say that ultimately, it's the head coach's responsibility, even if he delegated that to Kiffin. Just like it was probably Darrell Bevell who called the play in the SB, Carroll gets the blame. But realistically, Carroll is defensive minded coach and most likely gave Bevell/Kiffin the latitude to make both bonehead calls that cost USC a natty and Seattle b2b world championships.
