This brings up the question of why weren't the plays designed correctly in the first place. It doesn't take a whole season for figure it out.

There is not one thing any of those baggage coaches could do to improve this team this year. Guess it's OK here to run down coaches who are not here to defend themselves. Only fix this offense needs is an off season with Burrow, a healthy deeper OL and a Tryion Davis and John Emery.

based on? Total offense ranking? Red zone scoring other than fg's? 3rd down success? what one category is Steve excelling in to the degree that no other oc can touch?
During: no After: to an extent It is constructive to hold people accountable. It isn’t constructive to support failure. There is a balance in there that I try to find.
Kiki I love what the staff has done with this team and you are right when you say we have done better than most experts thought but to say that oline and another year with burrow is the answer is just not all of what is wrong. You can scheme when your oline is having trouble and roll out your qb a little more. You can throw shorter quicker passes and get the ball out faster. You don't run play action with your qb back to line of scrimmage in the pocket when your qb isn't even set up yet before guys are on top of him. Play action depends on you having some semblance of a running game to make them respect it. That is all we are saying. Their isn't anything wrong with wanting a powerful offense to match our defense. We are winning and having a great season because we have a great defense, good field goal kicker, and a step up in qb play to provide for our decent offense. But it isn't wrong to want our offense to do better. Because you don't beat bama with a decent offense against their great defense. And if we want back in the elite team status every year our offense must get better. Improving talent and experience is just part of the equation .
Canada looked like crap vs Moo U because O interfered in his offense, just like he did with Troy. When Canada was able to use his offense, we almost came back to beat Troy. Bottom line is O promised a top flight OC and he did not deliver.
