If any LA Tech fans are counting on LSU having a letdown after the total destruction of Auburn forget it. The week after the UGA game LSU blew out Moo U, a team about on the level of Tech. You would have a better shot at making it closer if you had any kind of decent running game but since you don't McCown is going to be spending most of next Saturday night either running for his life or laying flat on his back under a half ton of Tiger flesh. McCown will throw 4 interceptions and get sacked 6 times but he will throw a TD pass late in the game.

Keith, in order for your QB to pass deep he needs time to throw the ball. I can promise you that LA Tech's O has not seen a pass rush like LSU can and surely will bring. Also unless Tech's WRs are world class sprinters, I don't think LSU's DBs are in danger of getting burned.

I think our offense will absolutely own Tech's defense, but I think I'm more worried about Tech's offense than I was Auburns. Auburn was one dimensional, and I knew if we took out there running game, they wouldn't do squat against us. Tech has scored a lot of points in every game this year it seems. I think they get at least 21. Hope I'm wrong though.

    LSU 52, La Tech 24

No way Tech scores 24!!!! They do not score alot of points in all of their games, let's see here, 9 against Miami, 6 against Fresno St., and 19 in a MIRACLE against Mighigan St. Those teams do not have the defense we have. They score no more than 10, but I want the SHUTOUT!

One factor that I haven't heard from anyone else yet is that for the Tech players and fans, this isn't just game of the year, this is a game for a lifetime. You better believe we are going to get the best they have when they come into Tiger Stadium... just a warning.

LSU has an opportunity to move a couple of more spots and possibly into the top 4 if things fall into place, but we need a win and not a UGA-UAB type win either. LSU needs to come out as if the winner goes to the NC. I say LSU by 5 TD's. (8-1)

Combining the fact of how big a game this is for the LA Tech players with the probability of a bit of a let down by LSU, I predict that the game will be close at half time (17-6). Then LSU hammers them like the rent-a-win team that they are in the 3rd quarter and our scrubs finish them off in the 4th quarter (45-13). If I were a Tech fan, I would be VERY concerned with my star QBs health. LSU is going to hit him hard and often. LSU tends to have a bit of a let down against some of these rent-a-wins, but we really really REALLY hammer the in-state rent-a-wins (ULL and ULM most recently). LA Tech should just play their second string QB and graciously accept their check and thank Skip Bertman (without him, we would not be giving these checks to the in-state schools).

Looking at the rest of the schedule, there's always the danger that any of the teams (including LA Tech, and perhaps excluding Arkansas) has the potential of beating LSU, esp. if LSU doesn't play to the level they are capable of. I don't think Saban would let the players feel overconfident against any of their opponents, particularly after the valuable lesson and experience gained from the loss to Florida. I have a sense the loss actually made the team become more disciplined and focussed, and playing more together as a team, reminicent of the 2001 team that won the Sugar Bowl. Geaux Tigers.

LSU might suffer a letdown against a rent a win team from someplace like Western Illinois or Miami of Ohio but most of the LSU players are from Louisiana and they know the players on the USLs and LA Techs personally so there is a lot of pride at stake. They will be psyched up to hammer the PuppyDogs into the ground. They don't want to live the rest of their lives with the stigma of being a member of an LSU team that lost to an in state rent a win.
