more bad ones than good? that's really a knock on all the wonderful teachers such as heather who devote their entire lives into a profession for very little monetary reward. I'd venture to say there are far more good ones who quietly do their job day-in and day-out molding our future leaders into respectable people like themselves; even in the face of gun toting, threats and disrespecting parents to name just a few. for people to mock teaching as a profession is not only shallow its also lame. there needs to be a system in place where the heather's are the norm and not the exception. Rewarding the people who directly impact the future of our society, similarly to athletes should not be so far-fetched. I'd prefer we as Americans and mostly Louisianians would want education to be of the highest importance. Almost beyond all else. "God" knows we need it. If you create a market where only substandard teachers can afford to live then your kids become its product.
UH-Oh, see what happens when I get passionate. And your answer is yes. I am very strict on how my students turn in their papers in that they should have the correct paragraph form, grammar, spelling and references, etc. And I also teach them to proof their work before they turn it in or post. Shame on me:nope: . I broke all my own rules and I know better. I should follow my own advice. (I get a C for my sloppy work!) Thanks and sorry for the tirade there is only a few other things that I am this passionate about and one is LSU football. Thanks Guys for understanding!
You really need a stand O and a hug. **** I would go crazy if I had to teach in Bogalusa. Not only do you gotta put up with the smell and the occasionally Orange cloud, but I remember having to play sports against the best that Bogalusa had to offer and heather I have to say you must be a Saint. I am only kidding of course, oooor am I?
