I live in College Station so know about the trip to Houston. We also have good facilities here. But man, did they get Sexton'ed with that deal.

I agree fully. Oeaux’s our coach now, and I support him fully at this point, but......we made a decision to let Les go with Jimbo potentially his replacement waiting in the wings. Then 12 hours later we’re keeping CLM, and Jimbo’s out of the picture. Eight months later we fire Les, still can’t get Jimbo, and settle on Oeaux. That’s an admin failure big time. @tirk says Fking is to blame, and that is probably right, but I look at Alleva as the pivotal figure. We all know he sucks, but this emphasizes it. He should of convinced Fking that Jimbo was needed, and got hs coach. It’s water under the bridge at this point. Oeaux is our coach, has the ship going in the right direction (hopefully), and may be the next Dabeaux, but there is still some accountability concerns there.
This may not be popular but I'm for keeping Alleva as long as Oeaux is winning and improving the team. He owes Alleva big time, yes but at least he has an AD he can work with. Alleva has finally hired what I think is a good basketball coach and I don't see him being around whenever it might be time to hire a new baseball coach. I don't care who he hires in the minor sports. If the time comes to fire Oeaux he and Alleva will be out the door at the same time anyway.
One caveat; so glad we aren’t tied down to that lead balloon of a contract. A&M will look brilliant if it works.... IF.....
Jimbo has nowhere to go but up. He can't help but improve upon what Sumlin did the last few years and aTm hasn't won a natty since 1932 or 1936, I heard today. I know you don't like him but if he starts kicking our ass you will wish he was our coach.
