Talks of Jimbo Fisher to A&M

What gives? Is A&M a better job than FSU?

 

I was wondering this as well. It's like jimbo is dying to get out of FSU. Makes you wonder if some NCAA violations are coming down (or some other cluster) and he is trying to bail before shit hits the fan.

 

The A&M boosters have very, very deep pockets.

 

A&M is a sleeping giant in my opinion.

They'll always be fighting us recruiting Houston area and OU/Tex for the entire state.

 

And a shite load of unhappy with the current coach. Somebody will be holding the clipboard next year, just a matter of who.

 

This. They are loaded and will give him free reign and a blank check. Definitely not good for us. Especially regarding recruiting.

 

They also have top notch facilities which FSU doesnt

 

Jimbo has been wanting to leave FSU for a while. Clearly, after this year, FSU is more than willing to part ways, too. A&M will be the perfect suitor to give him the funds/means to justify the end. It may suck for us, but maybe not. Jimbo will bring some initial excitement/success, but will likely fade after a few years. LSU, hopefully, brings continuity, tradition, and competitive excellence that allows them to compete year after year for championships, and that will maintain good recruiting. And, we have Tiger Stadium and our atmosphere. Sleeping giant? Unless College Station has changed a lot, I don't think upgrading Kyle Field/Stadium makes them a sleeping giant.
