Re: T.S. Wilma btw, our poster "jvincent25" lives right in the middle of the projected path..... he gets a pass froim watching the game on saturday.......
Re: T.S. Wilma well hopefully this thing will weaken considerably like they are projecting. This front should help tear it up a little and should bring it down to CAT 2 or 3.
Re: T.S. Wilma I agree. My husband is in Orlando this week on business. He was supposed to fly home on Sunday, but just called to say he changed his flight to get out on Friday. I feel sorry for the Tulane football players. They are supposed to play Univ. Central Florida (in Florida) on Saturday. Those poor guys must think hurricanes are following them.
Re: T.S. Wilma Remember when we all joked on here for the first Katrina thread? It was the Friday before the storm hit, just one week from the beginning of our football season--we thought. This hurricane season has been no joke. Hopefully, the fronts will keep this far away from Louisiana, but none of those fronts has made down here to Dallas yet. It's supposed to be 94 degrees here again today.
Just as a sidenote, there are some absolutely stunning properties on the coast in Naples. It takes a lot to really surprise me w/ houses, but there are a few dozen there that made my jaw drop. To give you an idea...there's one house, with a boat lift in their cove. Not normally a big deal, but this boat lift had a 60+' VIKING YACHT lifted out of the water. First time I've ever seen that at a residence.
Re: T.S. Wilma How about feeling sorry for those of us who live in Orlando?? We may be out of power and not get to see the game!
