I don't recall Anders filling out an American visa request. How dumb is it to apply common cause theory to a one-off? There are not dozens of Anders running around Europe. There are however, plenty of recent terrorist occurrences around the world including here in America. Can't do much about the ones already here. It isn't comparable to what's being discussed anyway. But if you want to go that route, why isn't the President dealing with the 465 homicides (largely black on black) in Chicago? Oh, wait....he did. Is Rahm still in office? It has to do with taking care of America FIRST. Unless we are doing that, then IMO, NO we don't have the resources to accept refugees from places where sexism, honor killings, killing of gays, sharia law, ethnic cleansing, and all forms of barbaric terrorism take place. They are fleeing Saudi Arabia. Last I checked, they weren't on the list of America's enemies. They are also fleeing Iran. Hey, we just worked out a nuclear deal with iran that is based on lots of trust, according to John Kerry. Can't be that bad of a place, right? The New Testament pretty much makes your argument a red herring. ISIL is now. Trying to claim that fear is the reason folks don't want refugees is far too simple and inaccurate. It's not fear. You seem to think the entire process is just easy peasy....a little vetting here and there, bring em on over, give em housing, clothes, food, until they can find work, they want to work, they want to assimilate, they will eventually go home. OMG. That is not what's going to happen. The largest American Syrian community is right here in Southern California. They aren't trying to get home. Why the hell would they? It sucks balls living in a hot desert with little food, meager housing, women who are covered up, a constantly changing but always oppressive leadership. I guess I don't have to remind you that 14 people were killed in San Bernardino. They completely and somewhat easily fooled the American immigration process. Hell they could have gotten off the plane in Chicago with shirts saying, "I'm a future terrorist" and still, nothing would have happened. We are not prepared to deal with refugees to the tune of 10,000. There are other places they can go. Let them. They should stay closer to Syria so that when stability returns, going home will be that much easier for them.

When white people or sometimes blacks they are acts of a crazy person. When muslims do it it is a part of their religion. Muslims, both foreign and those born in the USA are far more likely to commit acts of terrorism You liberals always try to play the fear card. It's not fear. It's common sense not to allow potential terrorists to enter this country. And yes, America has a long tradition of religious freedom but no way our founding fathers anticipated a religion hell bent on destroying anything and everyone they consider to be not in concordance with their religion. The practice of Islam should be banned in America. If I said my religion was the same as the Aztecs and required me to practice human sacrifice how long would it be before I was locked up?
We should let Syrians in, just in small numbers, and we should keep them in small numbers, meaning divide them up and disperse them widely, Across the country.
