So far everyone in the know says there has been much interest in the job. Its just a matter of time before O finds his guy. The big hold up was Kiffin and he's out of the way now. I'm actually relieved that i can continue to hate him.
I also despise Kiffin and didn't want to be forced to pull for him. It concerns me, however, how much "faith" Orgeron seemed to have in him and that his "promise" of bringing Kiffin into the Tiger fold may be why O was hired so quickly. It feels like he was trolling us, and then was all over Twitter today saying he wouldn't have left Bama without becoming a head coach. Hell, he took a pay cut for the head job he took instead of coming to LSU, and he sure as hell won't be coaching the same caliber of athletes. LSU is rapidly becoming a joke around the country. I know...I hear it daily.
The joke may very well be on everyone else. Hopefully, things should settle down by Thursday and with the team starting to prepare for the bowl game, become a lot more fun for us fans. Geaux Tigers!
That's what I am hoping. With Aranda's defense, all we need is a competent OC. It sounds like Canada is a great OC who can develop QBs. The Pitt players love him. Now we need a good Special Teams coach.
Yep, if Eaux lands Canada then that's a pretty good 1-2. Needs to fill out the staff and shore up recruiting. I'm pretty optimistic even with the hits we're taking in recruiting. Hit needs and coach em up.
We're a joke in Dallas, and we were all but laughed at on College Gameday the morning we announced Orgeron. Again, he may prove me wrong, and I hope he does.
Like any real LSU fan gives a shit what Herbstreit thinks.[/QUOTE] Look, we're going to have to agree to disagree on this. I remained loyal to Miles longer than I should have, so my tolerance of coaching ineptness is going to be about zero. So far, very little in the O era has impressed me. We're losing commits, offering guys who have one foot in the door at Bama as EEs, saying we're bringing in Kiffin (wait...I just threw up in my mouth), only to "lose" him to FAU at half the salary we'd have paid him, and I could go on. But I won't; it just all feels wrong.
