Just looking at her own words leads to the conclusion that she is a sexist and a racist.

Unfortunately is was then and it is now a democracy. America isn't supposed to be a democracy................we are supposed to be a representative republic. Big difference....big, big difference.

    First, read it in context.
So, . . . A Latina with "the richness of her experiences" might reach a better conclusion that a white male who has not had "the richness experience".

Her point was an unexceptionable description of the fact that no matter how judges try to be impartial, their decisions are shaped in part by their personal backgrounds and values, especially when the law is unclear. As she detailed, for example, some studies suggest that female judges tend to have different voting patterns than males on issues including sex discrimination.

The law is the law. Ethnic and gender experiences be damned.

Her point might have been a tad bit more digestible if she hadn't used the word "better". I'm not convinced that a different background is necessarily better. She hits the PC checklist in almost every way. I believe Miguel Estrada would have been a better choice but he's not a female.

Her opinion in the firefighter case is a poor one IMO. This is a lifetime appointment and when folks on the way left like Schumer say outright that Republicans should only contest her "at their own peril" makes her appointment much less than it could be and she'll be confirmed easily.

So you know what her thought process was? I assume you can back up this assertion?

Sounds to me like she's saying that white men don't know sh!t from shinola.
