Gave the sates power over religious freedom under the guise of "safety"?

If they can do this with the 1st, they can do it with anything.

    Scary shit.

Totally agree, I was shocked by the ruling. Robert's is straight up terrible justice. Freedom of religion is supposed to be absolute. Hell that was the driving force to leave England and come here is the first damn place.

A gathering is a gathering whether it's a ball game, a movie theater, a concert or a religious service. Nobody is telling anybody they can't worship jeebus, the devil or a Jimmy John's sandwich. They just cannot do it in large crowds.

I thought the constitution was pretty clear on no laws limiting such.

Further, I see more people at Total Wine than I do driving by church.

Dude you cannot in any way limit religious services. To do so is fundamentally unamerican. The fact that you cannot see this baffles me. And by religious service I am speaking of all religions not not just "jeebus". If you want to worship satan or the big magoo I dont care it's your right as an American. It is enshrined in who we are.

of course you can limit them.

like for example if your church is rated by the fire marshal as condemned, or limited to X amount of people, you can legally limit the people assembling. it has nothing to do with religion, its about the gathering, like bengal b said.

maybe we shoudnt be able to limit gatherings at all. thats a different question. its not about religion.

Disagree, the state of California told churches that they could only have 100 people it didnt matter what size building. Yet other organizations could have full use of their buildings. That smacks of discrimination.

But put that to the side a moment. If I chose to join 10000 people in a space fit for 100 that's my damn business. You were just arguing that Twitter can do what it wants why cant a church or its members do the same. The constitution specially calls out the right of religious freedom i am quite certain nothing about Twitter is in there.

I worship football. Why can't I go sit in the stands with 102,000 other devout believers? Fuck those whiny holy rollers. My beliefs are as legal as theirs.

You will get no argument from me in personal choice. But religious freedom is engrained.
