    My wife and I lost one of our children when this song came out. I had never heard it before. My brother-in-law told me not to listen to it...he said, "Don't do it to yourself."

    I listened and immediately knew that the same thing must have happened to Clapton.

    It's still healing just to listen to this song.

    man that is a powerful song steve. this was my grandpa's favorite song, and makes me think of him all the time, and the message behind it, is also pretty powerful. Sometimes us guys can't get those words out to our fathers, and we don't tell them how much they really mean to us....
