his worst outing of his college career. Sucks to have all that pressure knowing he has to win for his team or they probably have no chance. They are done.
I definitely agree with this as i was thinking the same thing just now. Sowers is just not on his game today and it would be a shame to work him too hard in a losing effort. I don't see vandy coming back from a 5-0 deficit against texas' ace so why not make sure Sowers is available.

I say even if you score 2 or 3 runs in this inning, bring in your best reliever that can go long. Save Sowers. He doesn't have it today.
I am really enjoying this Super Regionals coverage by ESPN. When you think about it, 8 ESPN crews working around the nation this weekend for college baseball alone. Hats off to them for putting this tv coverage all together!

Oh well Vandy coach didn't listen to my advice to take Sowers out after 2 innings so that he could bring him back tomorrow. Now he is pretty much done, maybe he can give u a few innings on Sunday at best. I am afraid Sunday will never come for Vandy.
Vandy is a good team and could still make a series of it but the odds of them winning two in a row at Texas without their ace is very slim.
