Independents and Democrats are both to the left of you, you know. One of the problems with an extreme stance is poor perspective. Indy's and Dem's look the same to you from your position. It's just that neither believe in the Republican mantra "what is good for big business is always good for American citizens". Conservative Republicans want government to enable bigger corporate profits, Liberal Democrats want government to enable wider public well-being. Pragmatic Independents are looking for a proper balance between these extremes.
This ain't the thread and I'm still undecided. I defend Hillary a lot simply because nobody else here does. I still have issues with all three candidates. Is there some reason that you consider no candidate except Obama?
I have considered both and even McCain, I just dont likes McCains healthcare, tax, and economic plans. If it came down to it, I would vote Clinton over McCain. But I was just asking a questions, threads get hijacked all the time.
I swear I'm not trying to be an a@@ here but you're saying you consider yourself a pragmatic independent?
You haven't been paying much attention, if you think otherwise. I'm the resident patron saint of a moderate position, pragmatic planning, independent politics, the importance of balance, and the inherent natural stability of equilibrium.
to our conservative friends here, that makes you a pinko, commie, socialist. If you ain't with us, you's agin us.
:rolleye33: No, to this conservative, it makes him a bit (just a little bit) in denial. And, for the record, not all socialists are commies, though to be a commie, you first were probably a socialist. But then, you already know this...
No there are some rational conservatives here who are broad of vision. Of course, there are also goose-stepping fascists wearing blinders, somewhere to the right of Atilla the Hun. :insane:
