A lot of people lose sight of that fact. The dropped passes and overthrows/underthrows not to mention the interceptions tends to make a OC or HC for that matter a little reluctant to keep doing it. If we complete 50% of those drops then you would have seen 10-15 more passes a game.

Of course, god knows there are so many "big timers" in lake charles. Sounds like somebody must be a Barbe Buc fan and is just jealous cause their team sucked this year.

Anyway, i live in Sulphur and no one down here can stand this new sports writer at the daily news. My father in law is the head baseball coach at sulphur and wont even let this guy interview him. He always goes on these 4 page rants and raves, just to make one point. Not to many choices down here, we have him or scooter hobbs from the american press, both suck.

I am a Lake Charles native, and can vouch for everything you said. Is it me or I thought the Sulphur Daily News was the Southwest Daily News???? the American mess sucks, but not as bad as KPLC Ch 7. They might have the worse sportscasters in the country.

If I have to every move back to SW LA, I would move to Sulphur, they might have some of the best recreation facilities of a city of its size in the country. No disrespect to BREC, but it is a big step above.

if you're going to refer to my comments at least get it right. I've never believed jamarcus was the 2nd coming. I've simply stated he has more physical tools than possibly any quarterback in college and possibly the pros. I also have said it will take time since its obvious this doesnt happen overnight. Im not sure why you get emotional like the other whiners here from one game to the next. one day you're a believer the next game you're not.

its a progression. he will take his lumps while learning the position. Im guessing a younger, hungrier O-Line next year may step up to add a running game which may help just a bit. Ya see, when a team knows you're going to throw they can usually stop it. Luckily, he was able to pass on many teams who knew he was gonna do just that by buying himself time and making big plays.

If Alley comes back 100% or even close, Im guessing the offense we expected this year will come together next year even with the senior losses. We'll almost be assured Jimbo will be gonzo.

Looks like 3 of our coordinators are seeking other positions.

I dont care how small the readership for a paper is, I cannot respect the words of a sports collumnist who uses the word "FREAKING" to describe anything.

Maybe I'm missing your point. What does Miles have to do with it?

We got Brandon LaFell last year & he has redshirted. Supposedly he's looked amazing in practice. We are recruiting a few top receivers this class, just haven't signed an outstanding one yet. The one guy we got is supposed to be pretty underrated and has high potential to be very good. Also, our current WRs are good players, they just haven't shown it this year. They will be better next season & Doucet will be a great senior by the time Ryan is throwing him the ball.

Don't forget that Miles only had a little over a month to put together a good class. Concerning recruiting, Saban took a big dump on us due to when and how he left. I thought Coach Miles pulled out a decent class, all things considered. It looks to be a good class this year and I'm sure that he is well aware of where we need to stock up at.
