Uhhh, Hillary was not a candidate at the time. Lets see who Bush pardons . . . Libby maybe?

What politician doesn't have some ethical skeletons?

Where did I defend Clinton? I don't have the power to convict anyone, but all the evidence points to the political motivations behind these firings. How can you defend an administration that has consitantly shown poor ethics?

Poor ethics to whom, though? The people who don't like him perceive poor ethics. The people who do like him do not.

I would consider any politician who supports jailing Marijuana users, who wants to ban abortion, who discriminates against gays, who tries to deny funding to troops in the field, who tries to regulate consentual sexual activity between two adults, who exploits the poor and ignorant for votes as being unethical. Oops, guess I just mentioned pretty much everyone in politics in one way or another.

Faux outrage is something the Bush haters have yet to master, even though they make many good attempts at it.

I don't hate Bush, you've never heard me say that. I just think he's incompetent.

I wasnt talking about you. I respect your opinions because they consist of some degree of critical thinking and are well presented, even though I may not agree. I meant more or less the Bush hating politicians.

Bush is just as incompetent as all of the other douchebags in Washington. They just show it differently.

I have noticed that Republicans in general are inept at defending themselves. I don't know why. They could learn a few lessons from the Democrats.

When you resist testifying under oath, it's because you want to be able to lie to Congress without going to jail. When you resist having your testimony preserved in a transcript, it's because you don't want your lies to be a public record.

When you take the 5th to avoid incriminating yourself, then it's because you think you commited a crime.

Or maybe you are telling a bunch of political hacks in congress to kiss your ass?

What crime are you referring to? The right of an employer to fire his employees? A right almost every single previous employer has exercised? Doesn't sound illegal to me...

Just another political witchhunt. The Justice Dept did nothing illegal by firing these guys.

However, they are guilty of stupidity. Why on earth they would change their story daily is beyond me. All they had to say is that they reserve the right to fire these guys anytime, anywhere. Period. End of story.

Gonzales doesn't impress me anyway. He's just their for the hispanic vote.

I think that is exactly what is happening and it is political suicide. Congress is the law and defying their hearings is foolish.

Lying to Congress under oath is a crime.

She was the one who took the 5th. What crime is she referring to? If there is no crime, then how can she incriminate herself? And she cannot take the 5th just to avoid giving embarrassing testimony.
