I sit in the SEZ...and had no problem understanding what they were saying. The "F*** Steve Spurrier" crap was overboard. :dis:

But there in lies the problem, stopping doesnt send the message they will just find something else to say to another song. Its like dealing with a 5 year old.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- my generation is entitled to only one thing that it gets: the clap.

This sense of entitlement is absolutely bonkers- college kids driving 50,000 vehicles and the like is absolutely insane- and they think it isn't fair when they don't have everything they want! (I know right now NLMD is crying over the ghost of friedriches past.) I don't care how well off I ever end up, it's a used Toyota for my kid until they finish college. Then they get a new Toyota. Maybe a Volkswagen, if they graduate with honors.

I'm not going to lie, I don't have the cleanest language, but that's a result of my profession. It's very prevalent in the workplace. However, I am VERY careful when using it in public. I really hate it when friends of mine will curse up a storm in a restaurant with little kids at the next table. And I've even said something to people at football games if there are kids around. But other than that, I guess the language just really doesn't bother me. Emotions get heated at football games and people tend to go overboard in the heat of the moment.

Agreed, it is a topic for another thread, but I have definitely noticed this. Now, I'm not some old salt at the ripe old age of 25, but I've been disappointed at times with what I've seen from some of the younger generations. Don't get me wrong, I had plenty of times where I was a dumbass in high school and college (and even now sometimes), but some of the stuff I hear about now from kids in college just amazes me.

    To the OP:

This happens EVERYWHERE. A lot of our student section gave ND's band the back and finger, many people booed a ND guy when he got hurt and walked to the sideline normally, we screamed bullsh*t many times, we constantly screamed curse words at ND (and our own team when stupid mistakes were made), AND students passed around male and female blow up dolls.

All while being considered the "classiest fans in college football."

No, trust me, this happens everywhere and is completely normal.

We've been through this before and most students will will defend their "right" to say whatever they want. My opinion is if they want to look and sound like an classless bunch of immature kids why should I stand in the way?

I will say this...there is no way anyone can stop a group of people for doing what they did today but you don't have to partcipate. I also will confront anyone on an individual bases if the language gets out of hand. One f-bomb may slide. Start unleashing a torrent of them and I'll say something. Ignore my warnings and you will be escorted out.

freedom of expression, freedom of speech.

people can say whatever they want.

it doesn't make it right, it doesn't make it "cool" and it doesn't make it "classy", but as someone who has gone to several road games, if you think this stuff doesn't go on other places, then you are the most naive person ever.

the LSU student section may have some "politically correct" issues, but if it weren't for the noise they generate, the team wouldn't have the massive home winning streak they do now.

captain planet can now go on discussing another way to save the world.

I would wonder why you would ask to ban me on a thread I started in which all posters have agreed with me save one, and he respectfully disagreed and presented very valid evidence as to why he would not agree?

We called for a gold game today. Maybe half of the student section wore gold. When Penn State calls for a White Out, EVERY STUDENT is wearing white. If we spent a fraction of the time we do on drinking before and after the game on wearing the same t-shirt, do you know how much better we would look? You can say, perhaps, that it's not about the t-shirt- but then you really don't understand school spirit and then you really don't understand LSU, SEC, or NCAA football at it's very root.

The Tulane student section is pretty classy. In fact I know both of them and can't recall every hearing them curse or anything like that.
