Wondering how common Thule's are stolen and prevention measures. I'm about to take a multi day trip to Colorado.

    Some prevention measures:

    - Strip the screw heads holding the crossbars and/or glue the hex head screw heads to fill in top.
    - red loctite
    - mark it with numbers or something - make it unattractive for resale.

    Am i paranoid? Any advice?

I'm liking all of that. I hate thieves, they are right up there with the lowest of the low. Put a cable lock around your luggage rack and then to the Thule. Cables are easy to defeat on the ground, not so much on your roof.

Is this a thing? Stealing luggage racks?

If you strip the screw heads you'll play hell getting them out right? Unless you just want the thing on top of your ride forever.
I'm not really familiar with how they go on so I'd have to see it to give you any help but I bet I could figure it out.
