1. Keep this line handy. It can probably be used again in two years.

It worked when the Democrats were run in the early 90's, worked again a few years ago...and considering how the Congress and administration are worse than the previous two combined...it should work again.

We can only pray to GOD it works as this country might not survive much longer with these clowns.
  2. Well Barney would be in good company with George Bush:

President Calls for Expanding Opportunities to Home Ownership

Thank you Mr. President. Bush lead the charge from the white house.

  3. A ignoramus' point of view. The policies that led to the financial failings were written and enacted long before then. You might as well blame it on the death of Michael Jackson.
  4. its not because of Democrats, its because of the people of Louisiana.
  5. Then why are the parishes with the highest percentage of Republicans doing much better than the ones dominated by Democrats?

Also...if we can blame the nation's woes on a party or party leader, why can't we do the same for a state?

The fact is...we're at the bottom due to Democratic leadership. PERIOD!
  6. Haven't we had Republican governors for 11 of the past 12 years? Hasn't the legislature leadership been Republican for about that long as well?

The truth is we have had poor leadership from both sides since forever.
  7. ??? What happened to the four years of Edith Bunker Blanco?

How many Republicans Senators have we had in the past 100 years? (1)

Look at it however you want but the FACT is we have been led by Democrats and they have not done well. As much as some would like to blame the Republicans, they made up such a small percentage so the ownership can't be placed on them.
  8. Just right now...

    Bobby Jindal Republican
Mary Landrieu Democrat (if you want to call her that)
    David Vitter Republican
    Steve Scalisi Republican
    Joseph Cao Republican
    Charlie Melancon Democrat
    John Flemming Republican
Rodney Alexander Democrat (if you want to call him that)
    Bill Cassidy Republican
    Charles Boustany Republican

  9. Please elaborate...
  10. I meant 11 of 16. I try to force Blanco’s years in office out of mind.

Look, if your point is that Democrats are terrible I agree. Its your point about Republicans being somehow better that I think is ludicrous. I don’t even know how you can distinguish between the two parties. I find it especially hard to tell them apart at the Louisiana state level where many of the Democrats range from right center to conservative.
