Obama-- won't raise taxes wants to drill in the US when things go wrong in DC, will name names not afraid to go against his own party
Exactly. Ron Paul - Republican from Texas Most of the pros in this thread for the unaccomplished Obama are laughable (if not misleading) at best, and McCain isn't much better... Obama - anti-gun - pro-abortion - shady associations - no experience - "spread the wealth"; taxable amounts have fluctuated from $250k, to $200k to $150k, back to $250k - pro-illegal immigration/amnesty - racist pastor mentored him for 20 years; other shady associations - voted for bailout - wants to start war in Pakistan - said earlier this year that he would shut down production of superior weaponry for the military, and now says the exact opposite (flip flopper) - bigger gov't - heavily liberal (voted most liberal Senator in 2007; whomever said he is closer to the center isn't being honest.) McCain - More war - pro-illegal immigration/amnesty - Hot-headed - Sarah Palin (no experience) - flip flops on stem cell research (often flip flops/is inconsistent) - wants gov't to pay $300 billion to buy up bad mortgages (communistic) - voted for bailout - has voted for and against tax cuts - initially opposed Bush tax cuts - global warming obsessor - bigger gov't - McCain-Feingold - overall moderate/semi-conservative This is a horrible election. Paul is the clear choice, but once again, the media picked our candidates.
Obama he wont die in office leaving the country to an overwhelmed token bigot he's not an underachiever he wont change his views to please his party he wont stay in a war at all costs he does not believe in trickle down economics he is not a hot-head he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth he has not said "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should"
That's just cause he's already locked in step with them :hihi::hihi: just trying to bring a little levity to a very tense situation, don't blast me.
Ron Paul- but not overly thrilled with it. Pros -Voted against the bail out bill -No socialist platform proposals -Pro life -Anti drug war Cons -Major Hypocrite- dude bemoans spending increases but earmarks pork for his district
You just can't get past that, can you? He votes against the earmarks and has a record of principled voting and writing or supporting conservatively sound bills. It seems so odd to me that you're hung up on this. Not many question Paul's principled stance against the excesses of government, but you do.
huh? He has flip-flipped on this issue several times. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/aug/05/barackobama.uselections2008
