    Went to the Auburn board and as they day goes on, they are reporting that LSU/Auburn are in a bidding war over Steele.

    They are are now reporting that it looks like LSU has "won" and are thrilled with the outcome. Anyone hear anything about this?

    I am thinking he is going to end up at Auburn after all the back and forth. We could match (reportedly 3 year $4M) deal but it isn't really a match given the Les Miles Clause and buyouts being decreased if Miles is not with LSU at any point during the contract terms. Plus Steele brother is associate AD at Auburn and cheaper on his pension if moves back to AL. I haven't heard for sure one way or the other but it just seems more stable for Steele and LSU could use that money for a better replacement. And no I have not heard Coach O is a candidate for the gig if Steele leaves.
