Saban lost to UAB, Ole Miss, Arky (twice), FL, AU, when all of them were unranked.....he just didn't hang around as long as Fulmer. :hihi:

LSU's schedule will speak for itself. We don't need Bama to be ranked. Personally, I want them to lose every game they play.

As for Fulmer, I've never considered him a great coach. I pretty much equate him to the current Bobby Bowden. His recruiting classes are always ranked highly & there is talent that goes into the NFL every year, but the results on the field don't show it.

CCorso has spoken. I agree though, we don't need a ranked Bama team for SOS.

I do not see a UT upset this weekend... but I don't see fat Phil leaving either.

It is because of him that Bama got put on probation and had the nightmare 2003-06 seasons.

Since Fulmer's involvement in the '01 sanctions there have been a growing number of their boosters who have been nipping at his heels. There is also a group up there that are talking about boycotting the month of Sept. just to show their displeasure. Partly, based on that 5-15 record vs ranked SEC opponents. Also, partly based on their bowl performances.

A couple of weeks ago there was an altercation between two of the coaches in practice. Then extent of the altercation isn't known yet, but there is some bad feelings going on between Chavis and Taylor.

People are pointing to his record but not pointing to the number as of late. UT is just a tad over .500 over their last 30 games. If they don't end up in the top 25 at the end of this year that'll mean that over the last 6-7 years they are ending the season unranked right at 50% of the time.

There is a lot of unrest in Knoxville right now. It's been there for a few years and it's growing.
