This looks to be the movie that we the fans have not only been waiting for, but the one we deserve. George dropped the ball with Ep 1-3. They're good, but not great. There is an unrealistic amount of hype about it, but based on the three trailers, it looks like it can actually live up to it. I've watched all the panels from comic con and the star wars celebration back in may, and all the cast and crew interviewed are just as excited (even grumpy old Harrison Ford) to be a part of the movie as the rest of us fanboys are about watching it. Han's line to Chewie sums it up perfectly, "We're home."
I'm a huge Star Wars nerd. I am really stoked about Ep 7. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the new bad guy looks too similar to Vader. I hope they get more imaginative with the Siths, if that is what they are, in these next 3. Not crazy about the lightsaber with those little handles or whatever on the sides either. The double-bladed saber was bad ass in Ep 7. As was Darth Maul.
Something that sticks out in my mind.....it's 30 years later so where did they get Vader's mask? The first time he left it on the second death star and then it got burnt to a crisp on the funeral pyre. Did an ewok sell it on ebay?
Discarded by the Ewoks because it didn't make a good drum like the stormtrooper helmets did. Maybe that's how the movie starts with Ren tracking artifacts. I wanna say that's why you see he and the kid throw down in the forest, he is looking for Anakin's blue light saber.
If this movie is what I hope it is, I may cry in the theatre. I want to see Rey go Sith with the double saber...
