I think in time you will see an improved SC, but I don't know if they will challenge the SEC elite on a regular basis. As much as I hate Spurrier he is one hell of a coach, but there is a limit to what even he can do at SC IMO.
Can't say I'll be wishing him much luck either, but at least he will make things a little more interesting. Can't wait for SC vs Florida and SC vs Phat Phil. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Agreed, Twisted... like me, all of Visorboy's "haters" will turn on an SC game just to pratice our "hate".... kinda like watching Cosell on MNF. (Dandy Don, when the camera caught a guy flippin' the bird, "Hey, Howard, he thinks you're # 1". Yep, we'll wait through half a game, just for onr good visor toss... just so we can say, "What an Azz!"
No need to add a spellcheck option on this forum as we have more than enough posters that like to play school teacher. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
Spurrier is definately going to shake things up in the SEC East. I still think that UT will be his number one target. UT was when he was in Gainesville and I can't think of another team that he would be gunning for more. I would not be all that surprised to see Spurrier back in Gainesville down the road. Meyer was a horrible choice for the Gators and they will realize it soon enough.
Look, don't let Spurrier fool you. As much junk as he talks about Tennessee, he's gunning for every team he plays each week. Lest we not forget his record at UF, and just how strong his program was. It wasn't that strong by focusing on one school. If he can figure out a way to recruit kids to USC, that program is going to be one of the top two in the conference (giving Miles some early credit, due to my p&g shades.)
The problem deals with not being able to recruit nearly as easily as he once did at UF. I know he laughs at those who says he didnt like recruiting but I remember it being a known fact around many parts of Florida that kids basically came to him and that he was very lazy towards going to see people and so forth. Even if he wins the East, Clemson/GA/Tenn/AU-UA/others have areas near lock down unlike Florida.
