Thanks CP. I was hopeing that you would give an update on practice. I'm getting more optimistic about this team. Maybe Kirston Pittman will get his third.

You got to it before I could Red. One receiving TE gets all the recognition, but having several good blocking TE's is vital to the team/our running game. That killed us in '06 when we had no good blocking TE.

We'll need the redshirt guys & maybe a true freshman to step up.

Murphy is our change of pace, and doesn't appear to be seriously competing to be "the guy". He'll get a few touches & be electric when he does, but it won't be a whole lot. His number of touches may depend a lot on whether Trindon comes back (I don't expect him to).

Rivals reporting Riley out for the spring with a broken foot. I suppose it will give Shomari Clemons and Ace Foyil a bit more reps but I sure would have liked the first unit to be together for longer than just the summer. Will be interesting to see how interchangeable these guys really are.

I imagine there will be another couple of injuries before the fall, but hopefully not season ending for anyone.

Perhaps we will see more use of the fullback this season.

You don't think Trindon will come back? I was hoping to see more of him on punt returns. Is he going to stick to track?

    That's my guess.

Why risk the injury when he is one of the fastest men on the planet? Makes no sense to see him back on the football field when he has millions of dollars waiting for him in the track world. I would love to see him in the 100 at the Olympics this year.

It depends on what his dreams are. World class speed only lasts a few years, even if you are healthy. If he wants to be the fastest, then he needs to concentrate on track right now while he still has his legs. But he could conceivably have a long career in the NFL as a return specialist and eventually make more money.

I haven't seen it mentioned on the forum, but the scrimmage scheduled for yesterday was cancelled and replaced with sprints/stadium runs etc because too many classes were being skipped by the team.

It hasn't become a big issue, but the staff is trying to make sure it doesn't become one.

There isn't a dirent link to Perrilloux on this, but there might be an indirect one as he was setting a bad example.

I don't expect LSU/Miles to comment on this.
