I was with you; I wanted Aranda but was more surprised than disappointed with BK. But I'm now thinking BK is more what we need. He has experience in building up programs that Dave doesn't have. And I think we need a program definition reset after the last decade. Who are we? What do we stand for? What are our expectations from our athletes? Some coaches never get to addressing these questions; whereas that's were BK started. Sometimes the other word for 'old guy' is experienced guy. I like what he's doing. He's pouring the new foundation to build the new house. Look at it this way, he's got an established detailed process that everybody has to follow - sound familiar?
I think I like what he is doing, we may need a couple of years to see the results due to the condition of the program. He seems to playing the long game and building structure, accountability, desire to lead, work, and play. Sounds like the process to me, lol. Structure is what we need and BK looks like that kind of coach. I like when he said "if you don't want to compete LSU is not the school for you".
According to the Advocate its a position that we are well stocked. So it may be a search for playing time as opposed to a bailing on the change in the program. Good luck to him.
