"Ok, so the QB situation is settled. That's the most important thing we can take from this, and it is a biggie. " Does this mean Lee is now the backup to the backup to the backup?
I would say no. But only because Shepard is probably not ready as a passer for SEC football. Garrett has a cannon, but again is a true freshman. I think it will go down like this. JJ starts and plays 85% of the snaps so long as he is healthy. Shep takes 10-15% in gimmick plays or designed packages for him. Lee stays the #2 but only sees the field due to a JJ injury or mop up duty. Garrett redshirts. If JJ goes down Lee takes the starters role but Sheps reps would probably drastically increase.
Guys, For anyone who missed the spring game (as I did), the following link has some good information in it. http://www.neworleans.com/sports/lsu/124009-spring-game-gives-fans-taste-of-better-lsu-future.html
What makes you say that he threw nickel and dime passes not saying he's not good or will be good but cannon? Shep must have a rocket?
Garrett threw one that was about 60 yards on a rope that just missed the receiver. It got there in a hurry. You would have had to see it. Sheps arm is just fine. He is a smaller Pat White. It took white three years to become a good passer, he may be able to do it quicker. Who knows.
Yeah I saw that one that was thrown towards the endzone that the band was at but everyone has their own opinion.
The Geaux Zone finally released a video, about 15 minutes in length. The first 9 is highlights, the rest is Coach Miles' press conference. It's kind of small at 320 x 180, but the quality is high enough that you can double the size and it still looks good. Video - Spring Game Highlights
Who were you guys rooting for? Agree Garrett has a cannon...and Shep IS a rocket. But Shep does not have a cannon.
