A bit of trivia, Norm Chow was responsible for hiring Mike Holmgren and gave him his start in the so-called 'West Coast Offense'. He also tutored Andy Reid and Brian Billick.

    Don't forget:

    Dick Jauron
    Marty Mornhinweg

Although their names (and records) are forgettable.

Dick Jauron, that was the name I was looking for. Yes, their records as HC sucked, but you got to admire the names that came from that staff.

    Raylsu...
You want Saban to stay? I question that statement. He interviews with potential NFL teams because of his experience and the amount of success he has had at LSU. I could careless how many interviews he conducts and how close he may come to leaving, as long as he stays. What he has done for LSU in terms of championships and the recruitment of high level talent can not be measured. He DESERVES our respect and loyalty, and I give that to him in an unconditional way. All LOYAL Tiger fans should feel the same way! I have been reading this board all day, and I don't understand the hostility toward NS by some "fans". He doesn't owe us anything, he has given more in the last five years than any fan could have hoped for. Get a grip and be thankful we have a Coach that is so highly sought after, believe me it is much better than the alternative! Just say STAY!!

For now I am going to trust in the opinion of CRAWFISH, and hope he has some inside information regarding the fact that NS is staying. If it comes to pass that he goes to Miami, I wll be a Dolphins fan and always wish him and his family the best.

    JUST SAY STAY!!!

TIGERS ROCK!!!  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Honestly, your observation is ridiculous and you are a pollyanna.

I made a statement that he is obviously not content at LSU. It is apparent he is not. No one looks for other opportunities, regardless of their period of employment, if they are not looking to make a move and ready to make a change. He hasn't made it yet b/c the perfect opportunity hasn't presented itself.

So what is your point? My statement doesn't mean I want him to go at all, because I don't want him to leave. My point is that he has a desire to leave for the NFL b/c of his past statements and his actions (past and current).

Please explain to me why anyone would interview or consider NFL opportunities if they were not interested? Sure, you could believe Ramah and think this is some slick marketing ploy by Saban and his agent, Sexton. I don't buy that. I don't understand how my statement could set some of you off...

I don't hold a grudge against Saban for looking to make a move. That is his perrogative. However, you are the one that actually needs to GET A GRIP. Nick Saban is rewarded financially and on a "fringe-basis" that is basically second to none in NCAA football. He just signed a 7 year deal and didn't even finish the 1st year of the deal before interviewing for another position. I don't owe Nick Saban shi#. He has my support as a Tiger coach and for his past success. I've lived through shi##y coaches at LSU as well as the successful ones...I know what LSU has in Nick Saban. I appreciate what he's done, but I don't owe him a thing (except thanks). LSU compensates him for all he's done and he is treated like royalty in South LA. If he leaves, so be it. Not under my control. I hope he stays, but it isn't up to me.
