These players are playing hard, pro-style football. There is nothing thuggish going on with players jawing on the field, this is something that has gone on forever. LSU had maybe two personal fouls in the whole game and one was a retaliation that shouldn't have been called. Just because LSU has some swagger doesn't mean one of their own fans should start calling them thugs.

I think the WV idiots thought he was faking injury to stop the clock. Not enough football IQ to realize we had no reason to be faking at that time.

They even booed T-Bob when he went down, so it has nothing to do with players faking injuries to slow down the West Virginia offense, who were standing on the sidelines. It was pure classless behavior on the part of the West Virginia fans.

    Give me a break.

TM7 backed his trash talk on the field. If you don't like the trash talk then stop watching. It shows a fire in our defense and I, for one, think that it brings a fire to our defense.

These are teenagers. We aren't Miami, we're pumped up. If you think it's trash tall then how do you feel about Dana acting like a child on the sidelines? As long as we win games I don't care how much smack we talk.

I thought they booed TBob out of ignorance, thinking we were faking injury to stop the clock.

Gotta admit that one of our players' limps (Downs maybe?) wasn't about to win him an Academy Award. :yelwink2:

So, if we didn't trash talk last night, we give up 750 yards in total offense? 1000? 1200?

Last night the fire in our defense was a flicker.

This, to me, is completely classless, and I don't pass that judgement often. The head coach is a representative of the university--if he won't admit he is wrong, the fans won't change. In the words of Julius Campbell, "Attitude reflects leadership".

All of these "hurry up" teams want to complain that teams are faking the injuries. Wah, Wah, Wah. The entire point of the hurry up is to take the other team out of its defensive rhythem by denying their opportunity to substitute. In other words, they are using the lack of controlling rules to affect the other team between plays instead of during them. Then, when another team does it, they whine like babies because opponents aren't nice enough to bow down to their supposed genius.

I know a lot of old-time players who think that the hurry up is an unsportsmanlike gimmick. Well, the LSU Tigers have exposed that gimmick by way of solid fundamental football by thrashing two of the biggest hurry up advocates on national TV (we get the third on 10/24).

I don't advocate faking injuries, per say. But the simple fact is that a fan cannot tell whether an injury is real or fake, and only seriously deranged people take this so seriously that they will boo a player who may have just ended his career.

Not trying to extinguish trash talk. Not looking for any choir boys on the field of play. Re-read the post...we can be dominant and classy--all in one. You don't want it ALL?

Not saying our D-line should gift posies to our opponents' O-line! But do you want the negatives of a Nick Fairley if you don't need to go there?

    Just my $.02.
