My girlfriend (who's from the northeast and is a Boston U. graduate), is a little more accepting. In fact, for the Sugar Bowl, she went out and bought 30 purple and gold balloons, blew them up and decorated the house (quite surprised when I came home to say the least) and THEN wore one of my many LSU long-sleeve t-shirts and LSU visor for the game itself....and I hadn't even asked her to!!! She saw an LSU thong in one of the online gift shops and she told me that's what she wants! (yeah! Like I'm gonna say no?! --Ordering that thing as soon as I finish typing this message! ) I've converted a yankee!!!! :geaux:
Converting a Boston U grad is easy ... considering BU does not even have a football team. No allegiance to sway, lol.
Hey BostonBengal Does she have a sister? Cause if my ole lady puts any of my gear on the back porch I'm throwin' her out the front porch.lol KEEP YOUR PAWS OFF MY GEAR WOMAN!!!!:cuss:  :sob: :cuss: USC still #2
I ordered a Hat from the Advocate site (footballfanatics.com or somesuch). The grey one they all had on right after the game. I just got it. It is a great hat, but they shipped it in a letter folder so the hat got flattened. So its not to official "form" AND on the back where it says Battle on the Bayou... Its Upside Down...... Should I keep it ??? Maybe a rare item. Or send it back ? Geaux Tigers
I am still amazed she wants a LSU thong. Have her call my wife and discuss/persuade. I would return it Texas, ask for a new one sent in a cardboard box.
We just got finished building our new home. I always said that if I built one I'd have an LSU themed game room ...and I do. I 've always had posters and other memorabilia at my office, but since the NC I 've brought most of it home to the game room and I'm like most everyone else...everything w/LSU National Championship on it I buy. My wife if just starting to put the clamps on me. I just got the advocate posters in and I'm now waiting on the Times-Picayune poster to add to the game room walls. (shhhh...don't tell my wife...i'll break it to her gently when I get 'em framed.) She's gonna $hit & cuss from now till next season!!:cuss:  :geaux:
