While this is good news, Trump had nothing to do with it. We lost about 30 million payroll jobs during the pandemic so we really had nowhere to go but up. Provided that the current outbreaks do not cause more shutdowns, whether full or partial, we should expect to see those kind of numbers for the next several months. On a more somber note, we also learned that another 1.5 million filed new applications for unemployment last week so the door is still revolving. Also, we will have to see what congress does about extending unemployment benefits as they are set to expire for millions of people at the end of July. If they are allowed to expire it will impose wide spread financial hardship on millions of people who have been kept afloat by those weekly $600 payments.

and therein lies the rub... if businesses aren't allowed to reopen what happens? how long can we sustain the shutdown seems to be a blue state initiative.... to keep the state economy shut down and then request a bailout from the fed, while the fed is paying those unemployed as a result an extra 600.00 a week (31K annually) on top of state unemployment benefits. its simply not sustainable....

He's provided easily the best results in job creation in my lifetime. I'm not young either. He understands the US needs to build & produce things here in the States, not buy them from Child Labor camps AKA Sweat Shops in China, & elsewhere.

Obama never worked for a company, ran a company, built anything or produced anything. His resume' is community agitator I mean organizer and 6 months as a senator a position he was basically handed. To compare him to Trump or even someone who has his own food truck would be massive insult to both.

I think this sums it up well. There is a balance to be struck between allowing businesses to reopen and maintaining responsible counter measures to the virus. Where that balance lies is the million dollar question right now. Unfortunately for all of us, striking a balance isn't necessarily in our leaderships playbook right now, from either side.
