If it’s false and lies, then you can be held libel in a civil suit especially if a publisher says that.

or if anyone does. the part you keep lying about is pretending twitter is immune from that. they are not. they are immune from if you do that on their service.

    1. As a private company, Twitter has the right to ban whomever it wants and to flag or even delete whatever content it cares to.

    2. Section 230 doesn't prevent people from suing platforms or individual speakers for defamatory comments and content

    repeat:

    1. As a private company, Twitter has the right to ban whomever it wants and to flag or even delete whatever content it cares to.

    2. Section 230 doesn't prevent people from suing platforms or individual speakers for defamatory comments and content

I outlined the specific section in question. There is a specific clause that protects them from civil liability. I quoted it.

    You are running in circles.

this website, for example, is allowed to edit and delete posts. is that a problem for you or do you think you can sue them for violating your rights to have access to this forum?

I don’t know that you are correct here. This site has the right to remove post that violate its predefined policy, but I’ve never seen this sight edit or attach anything to a persons post. The twits at tweeter were adding their position or content to post, or they were shadow banning the post unbeknownst to the author. When they add anything to a persons post, they become co- publisher. As publisher, they can be held liable. Further, shadow banning or deleting content with no policy to back up cause is fraudulent representation. It Twitter posted on its rules, all conservative content will be deleted, they would be fine. But that’s not what they are doing.

    thats fine. i know.

its their site, they can do that. they can remove stuff that violates their policy,or stuff they dont like. they can ban you forever and become a marxist site if they want. they can add a tag to all your posts that says your posts are dumb.

correct, they can be liable if they add to the post. the thing they cannot be liable for is what you post. if trump posts "i am hungry". and they change it to say "i am hungry and a rapist" then they are liable. there is no legal loophole that makes them immune from liability, as is claimed.

shadow banning and deleting is fine. its their site. they dont have to publish your shit. they can delete all conservative content if they like.

My last post. I linked the law that states how they are protected from civil liability. That is what was mentioned in the EO.

Everything Martin is talking about was not mentioned for review.

you dont understand this, but lets assume you do.

can you give me a specific hypothetical example of where they should be sued for civil liability and they are treated differently from anyone else?

This message board is not a platform. It has No "Official" affiliation with LSU at all.
