Let's pretend for a second you are a normal person who would be pissed. If I tweet Martin is the transexual Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan you could sure me but not twitter. It twitter added a "fact check" and said, yes, our facts checker confirms That Martin is the transexual Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan you could still sue me but since twitter would have assumed the role of publisher they should also be able to be sued for slander.

 

Right and after you got fired for being racist, you would have a case because they as a publisher gave rise to these false claims which damaged you and your ability to earn a living.
