But its not enough to make me not support him. I still feel like he is working for the people more than any other president has ever done in recent memory
Yet he cut funding for military dependents to fund his wall. The difference between his word and actions is vast.
This is what I dislike about Trump and the democrats. They fail to understand or care that that what distinguishes America’s political system is our adherence to process; the Constitution and Rule of Law are more important than achieving a specific outcome in a specific instance. Under tyranny, only the ends matter, and when your group is in power, you do whatever you want. He and they are willing to destroy the system that has enabled us to thrive in freedom for over 200 years for their narrow self interest.
Again .... I don’t see how you come to this conclusion for Trump. It has ALWAYS been the Democrats who want to abandon “adherence to process”, as well as original intent of the law. Ask yourself ...... Who is it who stacked the court to usher in socialism? (FDR) Who is it calling for abolishing the Electoral College? (Democrats) Who is it that abused the FISA system to spy on an opponent? (Obama’s FBI and DOJ) Who was it who came up with the nuclear option (Harry Reid). Just where has Trump used an out of process approach.?
I've heard this argument a lot. Trump has brought back industries & many jobs, long forgotten about by his opponents. Leaders create jobs. Followers spend America's money on "Climate change", which is not controllable at all. Ridding America of the combustion engine & consequently, electricity, is not leading. If you want to go back to the Stone Age, listen to a Liberal. Obama literally dropping a microphone, after proclaiming: "At least I will go down as President" trying in vain to say Trump would never be President. Right up there with "The Beer Summit" & Benghazi & Obamacare. Very Presidential. Plus first President to have a "First Man" as a wife . Clinton an accused Rapist & getting his Weinie sucked for America to know about, in the fricking Oval Office. "Doing hard work" with a 21 year old aide. Seems very Presidential. What's the definition of "is"? Bubba is. Plus "Blessed" America with the gift of his Wife. "Presidential" means what whoever is currently President. Trump is THE President. Fact. Trump's not going to act like a polished turd salesman or vague & dumb politician, because he's not one. Perhaps you should more accurately say you don't like him & his "New Yorker" personality. You can always vote for a Democrat with a more boring personality. Don't worry at all about you current taxes Tripling & your Medicare being first destroyed & then removed. You get to wait in line for your heart, kidney or liver transplant for 4-5 years. Plus if you're a "A Brown Person", you can cut in line ahead of us evil "Crackas" But guess what? Waiting for Emergency Surgery is Free! Just like Dying! Excitable Boy not named Warren Zevon
What a freaking great post! Going to copy and paste this and claim it as my own if you don't mind Perple.
This is probably true and I'm ok admitting it. But the discussion always go back to pick a liberal to replace him. That is not at all the solution I'm after. In my post I stated I thought he has done good from a policy perspective just that I thought he is giant turd when it comes to demeanor and leadership if men. He believes he is always the smartest dude in the room, and that is a terrible quality in a leader.
The things Trump has done I think are positive are as follows: 1) court nominations. He has followed Federalist Society recommendations to nominate 2 spectacular SCOTUS justices and numerous appeals and district court judges. A+ 2) Tax cuts solid B 3) Response to Syrian chemical attacks by bombing the base it came from. After Obama’s abject failure it was much needed. Poor follow up though. 4) Attempting to hold China accountable for industrial theft, currency manipulation and trade aggression. It is much needed but unfortunately he’s talked a better game than he’s actually accomplished. It is a very difficult task. C 5) Deregulation. Again much needed and he’s talked a much better game. In fact some is more due to neglect than effort. Also some of his actions have been counterproductive. C I’ll follow up with a list of the things I don’t like....unfortunately much longer.
