    I gave you an example and you ignored it. It was a real world example of the power of publishers, CNN and the Post, and use of social media, Twitter, and how a child was targeted, attacked, and was able to find legal action against said publishers.

    because if they operate as publishers they cannot lean on the previously held immunity enjoyed when their content was 3rd party

    twitter is not protected from liability if they lie about the covington catholic kids.

    twitter is protected from liability if you lie on twitter about those kids.

    Perhaps these "gun wielding gov't thugs" should do what Obama did. Have the staff at Twitter spied on, their families threatened, the IRS put on them and in a couple of cases sent to jail. All in secret and with the support of the press. Hell Obama was attacking the press in a much more sinister way than Trump. Trump is head on and in public. Obama did it on the down low using government agencies to do it. And Trump hasn't put the IRS or the FBI on anyone.

    Also, I argue your point about a monopoly. Twitter completely controls its market niche. One could argue it has become a public utility. We all know how tightly they are regulated.

    no they shoudnt do what obama did. spying on our citizens is wrong.

    we dont need to regulate twitter. if the president doesnt like it he can post on facebook or instagram or mastodon or discord or gab or tiktok or reddit or tigerforums or start his own blog
