We can all thank Oregon and bandwagon college football fans for that debate. The PAC-10 is a weak conference, plain and simple. However, because of Oregon, the PAC-10 has been built up in the polls with unfair rankings. So, a good USC team gets more respect/love/etc in the rankings . . . even though we will have to play an extra game.

I don't think any of this stuff will matter. If we beat Ark and win the SECCG, we will pass USC. And that will force these BCS conferences without title games to get with the program.

I think I might be the worst combination for LSU fans right now. An Arkansas alum that lives in So. Cal. I argue with the arkies on our boards all the time about how they are so blindly ignorant about the strength of the Pac 10. You'll see when they get their chance with Oklahoma. Sorry you guys won't make it.

Your Non-conference schedule was a complete joke this year and if you do beat us Friday that alone will cost you a shot at the big dance.

You are the blind one pig surfer. Cal? Arizona? UCLA? Washington? Wazoo? Ducks? Beavers? ASU? Aside from USC, where is all this power that you squeal of? Any SEC team that is not MSU/Vandy/Kentucky would roll through the Pac 10. I think the bleach has gone to your brain.

I'm not sure who would win out between USC and LSU. As a common opponent vs. the two teams I'll first say that our offense was VASTLY outcoached by both teams.

On the defensive side . I think we were a bit snakebit by LSU in the first quarter, and from that point it was only 10 points. - USC scored throughouth the game although it was not as many points . .they also shut us out.

Personally I give Pete Carroll and Norm Chou the coaching nod over every coaching staff in the NCAA - especially in big games . .Carrol is a defensive matermind . .just as much as Chou is a wiz.

Also, as impressive as Saban's recruiting has been - so has Carroll's and Chou's . .

God . .I wish we had a playoff . .what an awesome game that would be . .

I agree with your statement, Chuck, about Auburn being outcoached. That is EXACTLY why I hope tubbs stays put.

agreed, but if our goofballs dont give us fla or tenn, it may caution others to put a champ game in. (I personnally like the idea, with the classic bowl system and a nat champ bowl for the unanimous 1/2 in the polls)

    Here are some more numbers:

    1. BCS poll (only ranks top 25) -- LSU has played the #7,#11,#18 and will play the #24 Friday. SECCG will pit LSU against another top 10 BCS opponent. USC has played the #15, and no one else.

    2. ESPN/Coaches Poll (only ranks top 43) -- LSU has played #5,#11,#19, and will play #29 Friday. SECCG will be against a top 10 team. USC has played #14, and no one else in top 43!

    3. AP poll (ranks top 37) -- LSU has played #5,#11,#17, and will play #26 Friday. SECCG again will be against top 10 team. USC played #16, and no one else in their poll.
